Why is sushi healthful?

Japanese cuisine is among the healthiest of them all. Sushi is no exception, as it is rich in nutrients. The rice which forms the base of the dish is a source of complex carbohydrates, is high in protein, B vitamins and minerals, while being low in fat. Sushi and dieting

Due to it being rich in nutrients and low in calories, sushi is very often an ingredient in diets. While the dish has many fans across the world, it also has many opponents, who warn about improperly served fish and have reservations about the freshness of the products used to make sushi. In that case, how should you approach including sushi as part of your diet? Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions:

2. Is sushi gluten-free? Rice does not contain gluten, but some ingredients of sushi may contain trace amounts of it (e.g. soy sauce served with sushi). It is however very easy to make entirely gluten-free sushi based on rice, fish or cream cheese.

3. Is sushi healthy? Due to it being low-calorie and high in carbohydrates, nutrients and omega-3 acids, sushi can be considered healthy. 4. Is sushi easily digestible? Sushi is easily digestible due to its easily-absorbed ingredients, also when you are on a diet.
